Greetings Everyone!
Well, I don't know about you, but the year 2011 was full of my share of ups and downs. I am hoping and praying that this year will bring much less depressing headline news and much more good things.
On the bright side, my business has grown for the 4th year in a row, and it looks like I can safely commit 100% of my working life to it in the not to distant future. This couldn't come at a better time since I will be expecting my first grand baby this year!
I have new and exciting ideas for dolls and hand mades just bursting from my imagination and can't wait to get started.

I've just spent the weekend giving a few of my dolls a make-over. They are freshened up and ready for their "reveal"!

First I've renewed my Easter Angel Doll named Hannah. She is all dressed up in her pretty pink dress and is holding a nest full of painted Easter Eggs. She is finished off with a beautiful Swarovski Crystal butterfly pin, and a vintage picture tag.

Next, I have a doll I've named "Mia". She is wearing a beautiful vintage inspired dress that includes an antique linen panel, and a sparkly Swarovski crystal butterfly pin. She is holding a German Glass glitter coated heart that reads; Forget Me Not.

My first Red Velvet Cake!

I saw an enormous Red Velvet Cake at the store the other day, and ever since then, I have been craving one! So.....I pulled out my recipe books and decided to try a new recipe for Red Velvet Coconut cake, that I have never baked before.

Hmmmm, looks very good so far, except my fingers are pink from all the red food coloring!

While they were cooling I ran to the craft store to get more supplies for my doll projects!

Yum! Looks almost just like the picture! I used to bake all the time, but I think this is the first time I made the fluffy white frosting...homemade!

The hubby is at work, but won't he be surprised when he gets home! That is....if there is any left!

After my snack, it's back to the studio....I have a dolly that needs some clothes!

My FINISHED Studio!

Well, it's been about 6 months, and my studio is finally complete! No more walking on concrete floors, and no more boxes on the floor!

In summary, we knocked out a wall dividing two bedrooms, removed the old carpet, tiled the floor, and put up two large storage units to hold my shipping supplies and inventory. I even got a new flat screen TV to keep me company!

I owe it all to my loving husband who took numerous days off from work, and tolerated my endless fussing about the whole thing, and got it done for me! Thank you, honey!

Now.....if I could only find MORE time to spend in there!

My New Studio in Progress!

Well, it's been a couple of weeks that I've been out of commission due to the remodeling final stages of my studio, and it is just about complete! We knocked out a wall to combine two rooms and expand the space, and this week the hubby is tiling the floor with ceramic tiles. Here are a few pics of our progress.

Hopefully I can get everything back in order by this weekend, and back to work in my studio doing what I love! I have a few doll bodies just waiting to be completed!!!!

This week I'm baking and planning for the big event on Christmas Eve. Family will be visiting, and kids galore, will be under foot. Even the family pets are invited on Christmas Eve! I can't wait to take a picture of the crazyness, and post it here in my blog!

This is it! My final Christmas creation for the year, a snowman door greeter made from a pattern I own by Back Porch Pickins. He is 28" tall and weighs over 5lbs! That's alot of stuffing! He is for sale in my WSOAPP Market Street Shoppe!
